A small, plain Mac app for voice transcription.

Push Fn.
Talk. Get text.

Bring your own model. Fork it if you want. No accounts, no updates, no marketing.

Install Mumbli

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fireharp/mumbli/main/install.sh | bash

Or build it yourself - github.com/fireharp/mumbli. Unsigned; open it the first time with right-click, then Open.

Why does this exist?

I wanted an app that does the thing and gets out of the way. Mumbli is stupid simple. You can read all of it. You can tweak it. I also found Groq inference is decent and faster than 11Labs and OpenAI.

What's in it

  • Click, talk, it transcribes.
  • Settings: pick a model, audio input, a polishing prompt.
  • Custom vocabulary, shortcuts, presets.
  • A few debug toggles. That's it.
